The organization will also build open-source blueprints that other school districts can follow.

Google said aiEDU’s expanded effort builds on a model that has already reached more than 48,000 educators and impacted nearly two million students nationwide.

ISTE will receive funding for a field study, summit, and insights report focused on AI-informed assessments. The work is designed to help save educator time and support personalized student growth.

Google.org is also supporting Renaissance Philanthropy’s Reimagining Assessment initiative, which includes an open call planned for September and a request for information currently open for input.

Google.org said the initiative reflects its commitment to helping teachers build AI literacy and access insights as the technology becomes more central to education.

The funding is part of Google.org’s broader work to support educators, students, and learning organizations as AI changes how classrooms operate and how students are assessed.

Google.org announced new funding to support three long-term partners focused on education and artificial intelligence.
