The new integration brings the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltrends.com\/phones\/google-play-store-will-make-it-easier-to-find-apps-that-dont-look-terrible-on-tablets-and-foldables\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Play Store<\/a> directly into Gemini, letting the AI assistant help discover apps, make purchases, and complete more tasks without leaving the chat.<\/p>\n<p>Gemini can now do more than recommend apps<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/gemini\/thread\/445046856\/%F0%9F%93%A3-discover-download-and-play-introducing-google-play-in-gemini\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Google says<\/a> users can ask Gemini to find apps based on a specific goal, such as a map app for international travel or a productivity app for meal planning. Users can now purchase <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltrends.com\/phones\/how-to-use-a-google-play-gift-card\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google Play gift cards<\/a> directly through Gemini or search for and buy select in-app items for apps that are already installed on their device. Instead of bouncing between multiple menus, Gemini acts as a conversational front end for parts of the Play Store experience.<\/p>\n<p>The Google Play connected app is rolling out gradually on Android devices. To use it, users must be 18 years or older, signed in with a personal Google Account, and have Gemini Apps Activity (Keep Activity) enabled. It\u2019s worth noting that at launch, the feature isn\u2019t available for Workspace accounts.<\/p>\n<p>This feels like one of Gemini\u2019s most practical upgrades yet<\/p>\n<p>The funny thing is that most people don\u2019t struggle with installing apps. They struggle with finding the right one. The Play Store is home to millions of apps, and simply searching by keyword doesn\u2019t always surface the best option. It\u2019s another step toward Google\u2019s bigger vision for Gemini. Over the past few months, the assistant has steadily gained <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltrends.com\/phones\/chrome-on-iphone-is-putting-gemini-front-and-center-in-your-browsing\/\" data-popup-added=\"true\" style=\"cursor: pointer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">deeper integrations with Chrome<\/a>, Google Wallet, Messages, Phone, and now Google Play.
