The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/tracker\/the-prompt-economy-agentic-ai-turns-conversation-into-commerce\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">agentic economy<\/a>\u00a0needs infrastructure designed for autonomous software. That is why we built OKX.AI.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to that report, the marketplace expands on technology OKX developed to let AI agents hold digital wallets, make payments with stablecoins, and develop persistent identities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TechCrunch noted that the launch is the latest in a series of efforts by OKX to expand beyond cryptocurrency trading to become a FinTech. The company, which has 150 million users worldwide, is banking on the notion that the next generation of customers will include AI agents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Haider Rafique, OKX\u2019s chief marketing officer and global managing partner, told the publication\u00a0the firm thinks \u201cagentic commerce\u201d could become a trillion-dollar market in the next five years, fueled by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/news\/payments-innovation\/2026\/stablecoins-can-power-micropayments-business-models-will-decide-future\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">micropayments<\/a>\u00a0and autonomous software.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The marketplace is geared toward crypto developers making AI applications and solo entrepreneurs wanting to automate parts of their businesses with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/tag\/agentic-ai\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AI agents<\/a>, Rafique said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OKX expects those developers to construct applications for the marketplace, letting other users access AI-powered tools without having to build them from the ground up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In other agentic AI news, PYMNTS spoke earlier this week with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/karan-katyal-14070438\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Karan Katyal<\/a>, global head of agentic commerce at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.adyen.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Adyen<\/a>, to get some perspective about how far along the technology has come on a scale of 1 to 5.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are at version 0.5,\u201d Katyal said in an interview with PYMNTS CEO Karen Webster. \u201cWe are in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/news\/artificial-intelligence\/2026\/adyen-on-agentic-commerce-the-ai-was-never-the-hard-part\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">earliest of early days<\/a>. Still.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He framed it this way: Intelligence works, and people already depend on large language models to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/news\/artificial-intelligence\/2026\/consumers-want-ai-to-shop-with-them-not-for-them\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">research products<\/a>, weigh their options and pare down the possibilities. While discovery feels effortless, everything is a struggle, PYMNTS wrote.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cInfrastructure is a much bigger block than folks thought about, perhaps,\u201d Katyal said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s a polite way of putting it, PYMNTS wrote.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cA traditional product listing needs maybe a dozen attributes to show up nicely on a webpage.
