These reports follow the news that the Trump administration has been in talks with Anthropic regarding opportunities to work together to manage the difficulties associated with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.securitymagazine.com\/blogs\/14-security-blog\/post\/102059-agentic-ai-security-is-complicated-and-the-hyper-scalers-know-it\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">scaling this technology<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mythos, a general-purpose language model with increased cyber exploit identification capabilities, was announced on Apr. 7. Currently, it is only deployed to a select group for controlled use, in an initiative known as\u00a0Project Glasswing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After the Pentagon limited the use of Anthropic technology in response its refusal to remove guardrails that would enable a user to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/pentagon-clashes-with-anthropic-over-military-ai-use-2026-01-29\/\" id=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">leverage the\u00a0AI for autonomous weapons or domestic surveillance<\/a>, the announcement of the Mythos model seems to have brought the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/anthropic-ceo-dario-amodei-arrives-white-house-talks-2026-04-17\/\" id=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Trump administration and Anthropic\u2019s CEO<\/a>\u00a0back together to discuss collaboration on matters of cybersecurity and AI safety.
