Lime’s listing is the amuse-bouche before the trillion-dollar feast <\/p>\n

Lime raising $167 million is small enough to round to zero against what is coming, which is precisely why it is worth watching. <\/p>\n

The electric scooter firm is a test dish, sent out to see whether the market’s palate has recovered after the Iran-induced volatility that shut the IPO kitchen for weeks. <\/p>\n

It cleared the market cleanly, priced at the midpoint, and that matters less for Lime than for the names circling behind it. <\/p>\n

Because the main courses being plated are of an entirely different order. <\/p>\n

Anthropic and OpenAI, the two artificial intelligence labs whose models now underpin much of the technology industry, are the listings the market is truly hungry for, and both would arrive carrying valuations in the hundreds of billions or beyond. <\/p>\n

An IPO on that scale needs a functioning market with deep pockets and steady nerves, not one still flinching at every geopolitical headline. <\/p>\n

Lime, loss-making and capital-hungry, is a useful proxy for that appetite precisely because it is unglamorous. <\/p>\n

If investors will swallow a micromobility firm bleeding $59.3 million a year, they are limbering up for something much larger. <\/p>\n

The revival has momentum, with resilient equity markets and a run of high-profile offerings coaxing shelved plans back onto the table. <\/p>\n

Whether that momentum survives contact with a genuine mega-listing is the open question. <\/p>\n

A trillion-dollar AI float would absorb liquidity on a scale that makes Lime’s $167 million look like the sliver of bread you nibble before ordering. <\/p>\n
