{"id":92597,"date":"2026-07-01T22:37:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-01T22:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/92597\/"},"modified":"2026-07-01T22:37:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T22:37:13","slug":"sas-marks-50-years-as-technology-leader-based-in-cary-wral-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/92597\/","title":{"rendered":"SAS marks 50 years as technology leader based in Cary :: WRAL.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAS marked its 50th anniversary Tuesday, five decades in which the company grew from a North Carolina academic research project into one of the world\u2019s leading data and artificial intelligence companies.<\/p>\n<p>The Cary-based company operates in more than 150 countries and is one of North Carolina\u2019s most celebrated technology success stories.<\/p>\n<p>Over 50 years, SAS has pivoted from from mainframes and personal computers to cloud computing and the rapid growth of AI, the company said in announcing the anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>Headed into a sixth decade, company officials say SAS is focused on creating and sharing AI tools that can solve real-world problems .<\/p>\n<p>The anniversary drew recognition from elected leaders. A U.S. Capitol flag was flown in SAS\u2019 honor, Rep. Deborah Ross entered remarks into the Congressional Record and North Carolina Gov.
