Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META<\/a>) shares fell about 5% on Thursday after Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg told employees the company’s artificial intelligence agent development has not advanced as quickly as management had anticipated. <\/p>\n

During an internal <\/a>town hall, Zuckerberg said recent organizational changes and workforce reductions had not delivered the results the company expected. He indicated the restructuring process had been less effective than planned as Meta continues reshaping its AI strategy. <\/p>\n

The comments came days after Meta outlined plans to expand its AI infrastructure business by leasing excess computing capacity, a move that investors initially viewed as a potential new revenue opportunity.
