For open-ended technical projects spanning hours to days, it lags behind Opus 4.8 by merely 1% while surpassing GPT-5.5 and Opus 4.7, Z.ai reports. In a test assessing its ability to enhance smaller models using a single GPU, it outperforms both GPT-5.5 and Opus 4.7, placing second only to Opus 4.8. On the most demanding benchmark\u2014marathon-level engineering challenges like constructing compilers\u2014it still falls short of Opus 4.8 by 13%, yet remains the second-best option overall, per Z.ai.
