Many organizations have proven that artificial intelligence can generate value in isolated pilots. The harder challenge is scaling those successes across the enterprise. Too many organizations continue to treat AI as a collection of disconnected projects instead of an enterprise transformation initiative, Colapietro said. It really shows when companies try to move beyond proof-of-concept deployments and discover that ownership, decision rights and workforce alignment have never been clearly established. “The biggest issue is that companies still treat AI as a series of disconnected pilots instead of an enterprise-wide transformation,” she said.<\/p>\n

Successful AI programs begin with a strong digital core, Colapietro said. Modern ERP platforms, standardized business processes, high-quality data and embedded governance create the transparency and consistency AI systems need to deliver reliable outcomes. Organizations that postpone those foundational investments often find themselves rebuilding data architectures, redefining accountability and retrofitting governance after AI has already been deployed.<\/p>\n
