{"id":97504,"date":"2026-07-07T10:12:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T10:12:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/97504\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T10:12:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T10:12:13","slug":"huaweis-new-computing-cluster-worlds-first-ai-agent-phone-to-debut-at-china-ai-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/97504\/","title":{"rendered":"Huawei\u2019s new computing cluster, world\u2019s first AI agent phone to debut at China AI summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The coming World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) is set to feature major new product releases, such as Huawei Technologies\u2019 next-generation computing cluster, as China doubles down on AI in the global technology race.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">This year\u2019s WAIC, the ninth since 2018 and running from July 17 to 20 in Shanghai, would include the first physical display of Huawei\u2019s Atlas 950 SuperPoD, Tang Wenkan, director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatisation, said at a press briefing on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Huawei initially unveiled the computing cluster, powered by 8,192 Ascend neural processing unit (NPU) cards, last year. The product is optimised for AI neural networks and machine learning tasks and applications.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Debuting at the conference would also be what Tang described as \u201cthe world\u2019s first AI agent phone\u201d, without naming the developer. Other highlights would include MiniMax\u2019s M3 multimodal model, an agent operating system from StepFun, and a near-memory computing 3D chip from Dongfang Suanxin, as well as new humanoid robots and dexterous robotic hands.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">WAIC would also cover frontier industry topics such as world models, open-source agents, AI coding, the token economy and one-person companies that use AI to replace staff, Tang said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Visitors at the MetaX booth during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, on July 26, 2025.
