That’s it! Maurits Kjaergaard is leaving FC Red Bull Salzburg for good. As is well known, the Dane had wanted to leave the Bundesliga club for quite some time, and the transfer finally went through shortly before the end of the transfer window. After 136 games, 19 goals, and 33 assists, the Kjaergaard chapter comes to an end after seven years in the City of Mozart. “When I came here so many years ago, I was practically still a little boy. Now I’m leaving as a mature man and player. At FC Red Bull Salzburg, I not only received my athletic training but was also able to grow as a person, for which I am very grateful to everyone here at the club. Today I’m closing a wonderful chapter in my life and setting out to open a new one,” the 23-year-old is quoted as saying in a club press release.
