Der argentinische Maler \u00c1ngel Baldovino wird bald 97 Jahre alt. In Buenos Aires geboren und seit Jahrzehnten auf Mallorca zu Hause, ist er abstrakter K\u00fcnstler, leidenschaftlicher Erz\u00e4hler, Kenner klassischer Autoren und Bewunderer von Leonardo da Vinci. Im Es Garatge der Cansalas Gallery<\/a> in Palma wird am Mittwoch von 18 bis 20 Uhr seine erste Ausstellung seit fast 20 Jahren er\u00f6ffnet. Unter dem Titel \u201eLa luz viene de arriba\u201c (Das Licht kommt von oben) sind 23 neue Werke zu sehen.<\/p>\n

Von den Beschwerden des Alters will Baldovino wenig wissen. Die Malerei helfe ihm, sie zu vergessen. \u201eMalen gibt mir alles. Es gibt mir Gesundheit und geistige Klarheit\u201c, sagt er. Seine Bilder sind meist in kr\u00e4ftigen Farben gehalten und von der Natur inspiriert: von V\u00f6geln, B\u00e4umen, Landschaften und dem Meer. <\/p>\n

Sehkraft nur auf einem Auge <\/p>\n

In seinem Haus in Alar\u00f3 beginnt Baldovino oft schon im Morgengrauen zu arbeiten. Dass er nur noch auf einem Auge sieht, hindert ihn weder am Lesen noch am Malen. Beim Malen helfe ihm die Einschr\u00e4nkung sogar, sich noch st\u00e4rker zu konzentrieren. <\/p>\n

Nach Mallorca kam der Argentinier 1977 auf Einladung des Malers C\u00e1ndido Ballester. Nun hat dessen Tochter Mar\u00eda Isabel Ballester die Ausstellung in der Galerie von Ann Wikstr\u00f6m Mogliani erm\u00f6glicht. <\/p>\n

Kompliziertes Leben pr\u00e4gt seine Kunst <\/p>\n

Baldovinos Vater starb, als er erst ein Jahr alt war. Einen Teil seiner Kindheit verbrachte er gemeinsam mit seinen Geschwistern in einem Waisenhaus. Als Erwachsener erkrankte er schwer, lag 24 Stunden im Koma. Diese Erfahrung habe seinen Blick auf das Leben nachhaltig ver\u00e4ndert, erz\u00e4hlt der K\u00fcnstler. Solche Erlebnisse pr\u00e4gten auch seine Malerei, die sich im Laufe der Jahre vom Figurativen hin zu einer abstrakteren Kunst entwickelte.<\/p>\n

Auf die neue Ausstellung freue sich Baldovino sehr. Heute male er mutiger als fr\u00fcher. Ans Aufh\u00f6ren denkt er nicht, am liebsten w\u00fcrde er wie seine Gro\u00dfmutter 101 Jahre alt werden. Wenn es aber eines Tages so weit sei, werde er zufrieden gehen, sagt er. Zufrieden mit dem, was er hinterlassen habe.<\/p>\n
