„Eine zentrale Herausforderung bei Organoiden ist das Gleichgewicht zwischen Zellwachstum und der Vielfalt verschiedener Zelltypen im Organ\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Doktorand Javier Bregante. Das Team passte die Wachstumsbedingungen deshalb so an, dass sie die nat\u00fcrliche Umgebung des Gewebes besser nachahmen. Die Studie entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Universit\u00e4tsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus in Dresden und dem Universit\u00e4tsklinikum Rostock. Geleitet wird die Forschungsgruppe von Meritxell Huch, Direktorin am MPI-CBG und Honorarprofessorin der Medizinischen Fakult\u00e4t der TU Dresden.<\/p>\n
Das neue Modell erlaubt erstmals, verschiedene Formen menschlicher Cholangiozyten und deren Ver\u00e4nderungen genauer zu untersuchen. Damit k\u00f6nnten k\u00fcnftig auch krankheitsspezifische Ver\u00e4nderungen in der Leber besser erforscht werden. Die Ergebnisse wurden in der Fachzeitschrift Cell Reports ver\u00f6ffentlicht.<\/p>\n
