Der am 12. Februar 1963 in Sofia Geborene stand im Tor, als Bulgarien im WM-Viertelfinale 1994 sensationell Titelverteidiger Deutschland mit 2:1 bezwang. Auch sein Vater Bisser und sein Sohn Nikolaj h\u00fcteten das Tor der bulgarischen Auswahl.<\/p>\n<p>Borislaw Michajlow nahm an den Weltmeisterschaften 1986, 1994 und 1998 teil. Seine Sternstunde schlug 1994 in den USA: Im Achtelfinale gegen Mexiko hielt er im Elfmeterschie\u00dfen zwei Sch\u00fcsse, f\u00fcnf Tage sp\u00e4ter folgte in East Rutherford die Sensation gegen Deutschland.
