Auckland FC and Adelaide United have named their matchday squads for Friday’s men’s A-League semi-final, second leg.

Auckland FC head coach Steve Corica has confirmed forward Guillermo May will miss the match at Adelaide’s Coopers Stadium with an ankle injury suffered in the first leg, which may require surgery.

Midfielders Jake Brimmer and Felipe Gallegos have also been left out of the squad because of hamstring problems.

Meanwhile, Football Australia have confirmed that the 16,500-capacity Coopers Stadium sold out within 36 hours of tickets going on sale for the match that will decide who goes through to this year’s grand final.

Auckland FC and Adelaide United drew the first leg 1-1 at Go Media Stadium, and the semi-final will be decided on the aggregate score of both matches. If scores are level after 90 minutes, the teams will play extra time and, if necessary, the tie will be decided by penalties.

In the other semi-final, Newcastle Jets host Sydney on Saturday. They drew their first leg in Sydney.
