A terrific second quarter from the Hawks sees them take a 13-point lead into the main break.
The big story for the Hawks heading into half-time is the health status of Nick Watson, who was removed from the ground to have a concussion test after being involved in a big collision.
Watson, who was quiet in the first quarter, was electric in the second, and if he’s ruled out for the rest of the match, it’ll be a massive blow to a Hawks forward line that is already without Jack Gunston.
The Hawks kicked 5.3 to Adelaide’s 1.2 for the quarter and they’ve looked like scoring virtually every single time they’ve gone forward.
Adelaide still holding leads in disposals (197-165), inside 50s (31-23) and clearances (20-19).
Adelaide skipper Jordan Dawson is the leading ball-winner on the ground with 19 disposals, while Josh Ward leads the way for the Hawks with 12 touches.
Crows big man Lachie McAndrew leads all players with six clearances, and also has three score involvements and two inside 50s.
Work to do for Matthew Nicks during the main break. The Crows just haven’t been all that efficient going forward at all so far tonight.
Riley Thilthorpe with just five touches in that first half, while Dan Curtin was held to just three. The Crows need both of them to get humming, and fast.
