اُردو ہے جس کا نام ہمیں جانتے ہیں داغ
سارے جہاں میں دھوم ہماری زباں کی ہے
Translation: “I am Dagh, and the world knows the name of Urdu; our language is celebrated and renowned across the entire globe.”
Tashreeh (Explanation): In this iconic couplet, the legendary poet Dagh Dehlvi expresses immense pride in the Urdu language. He suggests that Urdu is not just a local dialect but a global phenomenon known for its sweetness, etiquette (Adab), and sophistication.
