Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research & Enterprise, Professor Bronwyn Fox, said the rankings demonstrated UNSW’s continued excellence across multiple performance indicators.
“These results reflect the quality, influence and growing recognition of UNSW’s remarkable research community, and the strength and depth of the partnerships that enable us to tackle complex challenges, create new knowledge and deliver meaningful impact. This achievement belongs to our researchers, professional staff, students, alumni and partners, whose talent, dedication and ambition continue to extend the reach and impact of our research around the world.”
UNSW sets the benchmark for graduate employment
One of the performance indicators driving UNSW’s rankings success was ‘employability and outcomes’. UNSW ranked third in Australia for ‘employer reputation’, which measures employers’ perceptions of which universities produce the most job-ready graduates. The University ranked first for ‘graduate outcomes’, a measure that’s becoming increasingly important to students assessing the return on investment in higher education.
Graduate outcomes reflect an institution’s ability to deliver high levels of employability while also nurturing future leaders who go on to make an impact in their respective fields.
“At UNSW, we are committed to providing industry-engaged learning, along with the opportunities, support and real-world experiences for our students that help them develop the skills, confidence and connections to thrive throughout their careers,” said Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience, Professor Sarah Maddison.
