Those working a 9-to-5 job have it “easy” says one adult entertainer, who claims content creators work “10 times harder than the average person”.
Madeleine Rose, who is based in Adelaide’s southwest suburbs, has been creating OnlyFans content on and off for three years – and says it’s the hardest she has ever worked.
“What I would want people to know is that OnlyFans models and anyone in the content creation industry, even the sex working industry, work 10 times harder than the average person still working in a nine to five,” the 23-year-old said.
“I’ve done both and (my nine to five) was a piece of piss, it was so easy.”
Ms Rose said her full-time job as an OnlyFans model “never stops” and she spends hours through the day and night creating content, responding to messages and working on her brand.
“I actually started it as just a way to create an additional income,” she said.
“I was sort of over working a nine to five and I knew that I was very creative and wanted to do more with my life and make more money where I could.”
With more than 1000 followers on the subscription-based site, Ms Rose described her content style as “the girlfriend next door”.

During her most successful month, Ms Rose earned close to $100,000.
“I am like your online girlfriend,” she said.
“In a lot of my videos I’m fully clothed and I’m talking to these people that are nervous to have conversations outside of online and I’m building their confidence and making them feel good about themselves.”
For around $10 a month, Ms Rose’s subscribers can access a suite of her photo and video content.
For an additional fee, they request custom videos.
Ms Rose described her subscribers as “quite sensitive”, but admitted that she had received some requests that stuck out.
“I’ve got an active wear niche so this guy wanted to see me in active wear popping nine inch balloons with my butt.
“He wanted me in a long-sleeved cropped shirt and active wear pants, fully clothed.
“I’m like ‘this is so odd, you’re paying me almost two grand just to pop balloons with my butt’.”
Ms Rose, who has 305k followers on Instagram, said she wished people were more “educated” on her industry.
“There’s so much more to it. It is a very different world to what people see when they don’t understand what an OnlyFans model is.
“I love it and I am confident about what I’m doing.”
