Before the first bounce, the Euphoria star was gifted a personalised guernsey emblazoned SWEENEY 21 presented by Swans midfielder Errol Gulden and WAFL’s Taylor Smith.
She watched from a box with her dad, Steven Sweeney, and best friend Kate McCartney, the trio kitted out in Swans caps and scarves.
Earlier in the day the three of them conquered the Harbour Bridge, Sweeney’s second climb, ticking off a long‑held dream of her dad.
In a post to Instgram Sweeney wrote, “It was a bucket list trip for him (her dad).
“and he named me after the place so he had to come see it finally right?”
Staying in Bondi, a place Sweeney now calls “home” after a long stint filming here in 2023, the actor enjoyed a lowkey Saturday strolling through Gould Street’s boutiques before splashing some coin at local jewellery label ToniMay.
It was around 3pm when she surprised staff, turning the stop into a 20‑minute sparkle session, owner Laura Byrne told Confidential.
“She bought two solid‑gold, one‑of‑a‑kind rings from our Finery collection,” Byrne said, explaining Sweeney had come straight from lunch at Icebergs in South Bondi and seemed genuinely “excited” to pick up authentic Aussie pieces.
“The girls sized her for her own custom pieces, and by all accounts she was absolutely delightful and sweet,” Byrne added.
“It’s the biggest complement to our beautiful designs and all the work that goes into it — she loved the store which I guess speaks to our validity and makes me extremely proud.”
Of the two rings, one was a simpler single‑stone design, the other multistone, and she opted for tanzanite gemstones — a current favourite in store.
Sweeney was said to be doing the rounds in Bondi solo, but the 28‑year‑old is none-the-less off the market having gone public with music executive Scooter Braun after sharing a string of snaps from Stagecoach.
As of May 2026, the pair have moved from private dating to confirming the relationship.
Braun, 44, the SB Projects founder, is understood to have first connected with Sweeney in June 2025 at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star‑studded Venice wedding — a few months after Sweeney ended her long‑term engagement to Jonathan Davino in March 2025, and following Braun’s divorce from Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three children.
And while she’s making the most of Sydney, Sweeney’s real reason for being in Australia is up north.
Production has kicked off on the Gold Coast for the live‑action Gundam, with Sweeney and Noah Centineo leading the cast.
Directed by Jim Mickle, the film is shooting at Village Roadshow Studios and is expected to inject about $110 million directly into Queensland’s economy, employing more than 350 local cast and crew.
Alongside the leads is a stacked ensemble that includes Aussies Gemma Chua‑Tran (Heartbreak High) and Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool & Wolverine), plus Sweeney’s former Euphoria co‑star Javon Walton.
