South Adelaide Football Club has appointed Jack Maher as its League Coach for the remainder of the 2026 SANFL season.
Maher will step up from his current role as Reserves Coach, with Reserves assistant coaches Mark Griffiths and Curtis Perrey to share Reserve coaching duties for the remainder of the season.
After relocating from Tasmania, Maher joined the Panthers in 2025 as the League Forward Line Coach. He previously served as Senior Coach of South Launceston from 2022 to 2024, following five seasons as a playing assistant coach between 2017 and 2022 and 145 games.
Speaking on his appointment, Maher said he was honoured by the opportunity to lead the club.
“I’m privileged to step into the role of Interim Coach of the South Adelaide Football Club. We are in a strong position to make a genuine push for finals, and we’ve shown that when we consistently play to our full potential, we can compete with the best teams in the competition.” Said Maher
“I’ll continue to build on the strong foundations that have already been established, while ensuring we maintain a clear focus on our standards, our process and playing team-first football.
“I’m excited for the opportunity ahead and look forward to working closely with our players, staff and supporters as we attack the second half of the season together.”
