The Royal Australian Mint has announced a recall of an uncirculated $2 coin kit that launched earlier this year for kids.
The $30 Tooth Fairy Kit came with the rare coin, as well as a case, toothbrush, and tooth chart.
It was “specially crafted” and “adorned in delightful colours” that was meant to “capture the magic of the Tooth Fairy’s visit”.
But the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has revealed there’s an issue involved with the plastic case.
It was found to be emitting a “strong chemical odour”, and this could cause “irritation or injury” if it’s inhaled.

“Stop using the product immediately and keep out of reach of children,” the consumer watchdog warned.
The kit was sold between February 28 to March 31, and was available at the Mint, Adelaide Exchange, Peter’s of Kensington, Peter Strich Stamps & Coins, and Swan Bullion.
They were also sold online.

If you’re unsure if this recall affects your kit, you can check if it has certain identifying numbers.
You want to look out for a barcode number of 9314688 11923 9, or a product code of 11923.
Aussies with the kit can return it to the place they purchased it from for a full refund or a replacement.
They can still keep the coin, but they’re advised to return the case and other components for a partial refund.
