Leading visualization company Proof Inc. has opened a new studio in Brisbane, with executive producer Katrina Peers leading Australian operations.

The Brisbane studio marks Proof’s return to Australia, where the company first launched a Melbourne studio in 2005 – which unfortunately closed during the pandemic – and has maintained Australian-based artists and production relationships across multiple territories. Proof Australia joins Proof London and Proof Inc., headquartered in Los Angeles, supporting work across feature films, episodic TV, streaming, gaming, and live entertainment.

“Australia has always been part of Proof’s story,” said Ron Frankel, Founder and CEO of Proof Inc. “Some of our earliest international productions were based there, and we’ve worked with incredible artists and filmmakers there for close to 25 years. Reestablishing a permanent presence in the region allows us to better support local productions while continuing to grow our worldwide creative network.”

Peers brings experience in production, operations, and international collaboration; she will oversee day-to-day operations, help expand Proof’s relationships with local productions, creative talent, and industry partners as the company deepens its regional presence.

Her background spans Australia’s screen and creative industries, including senior development and production experience at Animal Logic and credits including Happy Feet and Legend of the Guardians.

Founded in 2002, Proof helped pioneer the modern visualization industry as a studio dedicated solely to the craft; the company provides services for feature films, television, streaming, gaming, and live entertainment, including pitchvis, previs, techvis, stuntvis, postvis, virtual production, and animation.

The company’s work helping design and execute productions includes Star Wars: Starfighter, the Harry Potter series and films, Michael, and multiple films from the Jurassic World, The Fast & The Furious, and Avatar franchises. Proof has collaborated with filmmakers and studios worldwide on large-scale productions, helping shape cinematic storytelling from concept through final delivery.

Proof’s history in Australia includes work on Charlotte’s Web in Melbourne, The Ruins on the Gold Coast, I, Frankenstein in Melbourne, The Vatican Tapes, Gods of Egypt, and The Age of Adaline in Sydney. The company formally incorporated Proof-Australia in Sydney in 2012 and later registered in New Zealand in 2014 while supporting productions throughout the region.

The new Brisbane studio strengthens Proof’s ability to collaborate across time zones while supporting the increasing volume of large-scale productions filming throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific market.
