Australian actress Jessica McNamee stole the show at a special fan event for her new movie, “Mortal Kombat II”, at Sydney’s IMAX theatre on Monday night.

Flanked by co-stars including Karl Urban, Josh Lawon, CJ Bloomfield and Ana Thu Nguyen, it was the former Home And Away star who turned heads in her sheer, floor-length gown.

The 40-year-old looked stunning as she walked the red carpet in the black dress, which was completely see-through and exposed her lacy bra and matching underwear.

And fans of the film were in awe of the actress as she shut down the red carpet.

“Wow @jessica_mcnamee is a vision,” commented one fan on a Warner Bros. Instagram post promoting the event.

“What a BAAAABE,” another fan chimed in, as one added, “serious baddie.”

Another fan compared McNamee to a major Hollywood actress.

“Daryl Hannah vibes,” the fan wrote.

McNamee looked fitter than ever at the event, no doubt her training behind the scenes ahead of filming helped get her into tip-top shape.

“I really enjoy getting fit and feeling super strong and pushing my body to its maximum limits,” she told the Daily Telegraph last week of reprising her role as US Special Forces fighter Sonya Blade in the movie adaptation of the famed video game.

“I was like, ‘Great, I need an excuse to get back in shape.’ I’d been kind of slacking off in the lead-up, so it was a good incentive,” she added. “There was no part of me that groaned – I would continue making these films for as long as they let me.”

McNamee first played the kick-ass character in the movie reboot Mortal Kombat back in 2021.

Like in that film, the sequel was filmed in Australia – the reboot was filmed in Adelaide, but this time around they set up production on the Gold Coast, with Australian director Simon McQuoid again at the helm.

Celebrations continue on Tuesday evening when McNamee and the cast cross the border to the Gold Coast to attend the official Australian premiere of Mortal Kombat II at Event Cinemas in Pacific Fair.

McNamee has been a fan favourite on screens since her days on Home And Away, playing Lisa Duffy for 32 episodes in 2007. After her stint in Summer Bay, she joined Packed to the Rafters, playing the loveable Sammy Rafter from 2008 to 2013.
