Two exclusive bakery creations, limited-edition merch and three Ooni mixers up for grabs – but for one weekend only.

Collingwood’s To Be Frank already draws a crowd. This August, it’s teaming up with pizza-oven pioneer Ooni for a two-day pop-up celebrating the local launch of the brand’s new Halo Core Spiral Mixer.

The collaboration leans on what both names do best: dough. Head baker and co-founder Franco Villalva has developed two specials exclusive to the weekend, each made using the mixer. There’s the Frank, the bakery’s famous focaccia romana piled with fresh burrata, hot honey, basil and prosciutto, hitting pillowy, salty, sweet and spicy notes all at once. And for the sweet tooth, the Pistachio Halo Cheesecake – a rich Basque-style number over a buttery shortbread base, finished with pistachio drizzle and roasted pistachios.

The giveaway is limited: the first 100 people through the door from 9am each day will receive one of the two creations for free, along with a limited-edition co-branded bread bag. Everyone who visits across the weekend will also go into the draw to win one of three Ooni Halo Core stand mixers.

The activation also marks the Australian launch of Ooni’s Halo Core, a compact spiral stand mixer designed for home bakers. Throughout the weekend, the Ooni team will be on hand to demonstrate the mixer and answer questions about baking and dough-making.

Come for the freebies, stay to work out whether your sourdough habit warrants an upgrade.
