Brisbane has been blanketed by thick fog, creating havoc for motorists and causing flight disruptions.
Brisbane Airport announced four inbound flights had been diverted to the Gold Coast and one to Sydney on Thursday following foggy conditions that morning.
“Brisbane Airport is currently experiencing thick fog across the precinct,” the airport said in a statement shortly after 7am.
Later the airport said visibility was “improving”.

“Visibility is now improving across the airport,” they said.
