British rapper Yung Filly has denied putting his hands down the pants of a fan who accused him of rape following a performance on his 2024 Australian tour.

The performer – whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos – pleaded not guilty to 10 charges of sexual assault, assault and choking in the Perth District Court over an alleged encounter with a woman in September 2024.

Mr Barrientos told the court he remembered complimenting the 20-year-old woman when they first met a Perth nightclub following the gig.

“I fancied her, we got chatting, that was it,” he said.

“I put my hand on her waist.”

The YouTube star denied putting his hand down the woman’s pants or touching her breast, which she testified happened.

“I did not, that did not happen,” Mr Barrientos said.

The rapper told the court he could not remember specifically what they talked about.

“But she had good vibes about her,” he said.

He said he invited the woman to join her and she was the inside a minivan when they left the venue, but he did not recall how she ended up in the car.

“I asked her to come back with me .. (I said) ‘Do you want to come home with me?,’” he said.

At the hotel, Mr Barrientos said the vibes were good, and he went to his room with the young woman.

“(My bodyguard) always stays a couple of doors down from me, if not next door.

“I go straight to my room with (the woman), I believe (my bodyguard) followed me in … he probably did to get her phone if he didn’t get it in the car.

“That is standard practice, for someone like me, to protect our privacy.”

During the first week of the trial, a court was told how the Perth woman wore her lucky outfit hoping to meet her celebrity crush at Bar1 Nightclub in the city’s north.

She took several videos from the venue that were played in court in which she proclaimed: “I am going to get married and have his baby”, “I got touched by Yung Filly in a good way”, and “I love Filly”.

The woman told the court she met the YouTube star inside the VIP area where she alleged he put his hands down her pants and said, “You’re coming home with me tonight”, but she removed them and said to him, “I am not like that.”

She claimed he touched her breast and she said, “You can’t do that”, and he responded, “Really shows your age.”

The woman told the court she thought she was going to an after-party with the rapper and his entourage when she hopped into a van with them later in the evening.

The woman claimed she realised there was no after-party when they arrived at the Intercontinental Hotel in Perth, where the alleged offences took place.

The woman alleged they started engaging in consensual sexual activity inside a hotel room, but it quickly became non-consensual and violent when Yung Filly bit, slapped and raped her.

The trial continues.
