A famous football surname, younger brothers of rising AFL stars, the nephew of Crows and Power premiership players and a midfield ball magnet are among South Australia’s next generation footballers with the world at their feet.
Just days after the SA under-16 boys team finished runner-up at the AFL National Development Championships, posting a 2-1 win-loss record in Pool A, and had four players earn All-Australian selection, The Advertiser has identified 55 of the SANFL’s most exciting under-16 talents that AFL clubs have on their recruiting radars.
They include this year’s under-16 All-Australians, Glenelg ball-winning machine Zane Rooney, Central District’s Logan Treverton, North Adelaide’s Cooper Jolly and Sturt’s Jacob Westley.
