Police will allege a 66-year-old man was stabbed to death by a woman who had refused to move out of his Logan house.
Emergency services were called to Lubach Street at Beenleigh on Tuesday afternoon, where they found Andrew Duncan Murray with multiple stab wounds.
Officers and paramedics attempted CPR but he was declared dead shortly after they arrived.
Police will allege Beenleigh woman Jillian Greer Francis, 43, and 47-year-old Karalee man Lindsay James Kohn had set upon Mr Murray when he forced his way into the house after being locked out.
Both have since been charged with his murder.
Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said Mr Murray man was a “well-liked and respected neighbour”.

He said Mr Murray had invited the woman to live with him temporarily about four months ago, and that her co-accused had also stayed there.
“Recently the 66-year-old man had asked for these people to vacate his premises, and they had refused,” he said.
“Things escalated yesterday afternoon when the 66-year-old found himself to be locked out of his home, and at that point in time police will allege he was assaulted by both persons,” he said.
Police said Ms Francis was disarmed by a neighbour, who then gave Mr Murray first aid.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge his actions, and the support he provided to this man at the time,” Detective Inspector Galpin said.
Ms Francis is also charged with intent to maim or disfigure for allegedly striking out at the neighbour with a knife, narrowly missing him, Detective Inspector Galpin said.
Detective Inspector Galpin said Mr Murray had offered Ms Francis a place to stay until she found somewhere permanent because he was “being a good neighbour”, but had since asked her and Mr Kohn several times to leave.
He added the street was a “tight-knit community”.
“There were neighbours out consoling one another last night, on what was obviously the loss of a well-liked and respected neighbour … our thoughts go out to the neighbours, friends and family of this man who has lost his life.”
The co-accused had their matters heard at Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
They have been remanded in custody and are next due to face court at Beenleigh on September 23.
