Before Robbie Williams kicks off the Australian leg of his BRITPOP World Tour, he’ll be performing at one of the biggest events on the calendar.
The British musician has been announced as the headliner for the Melbourne Cup.
“Australia, I’m coming in hot,” he said in a statement.

“Expect big songs, big energy and a massive celebration after the race that stops the nation.
He is set to give two huge performances on the day.
Robbie will first be in the Mounting Yard on Tuesday, November 3, as the Melbourne Cup trophy arrives ahead of the main race of the day.

Then, once race day is over, he will take to The Elms Live Stage to belt out some of his most popular hits.
The Victorian Racing Club (VCR) said this would be the biggest pre‑Cup performance ever staged at Flemington.
There have been some big names who have played at the Melbourne Cup in the past, including PNAU, Empire of the Sun, and The Corrs.
But there’s no denying they don’t have as much star power as Robbie.

VRC CEO Kylie Rogers said she’s excited for everyone to see what the British pop star will do on race day.
“Robbie Williams is a global music superstar, and having him perform at Flemington for the first time is the perfect way to celebrate the prestige and significance of Lexus Melbourne Cup Day,” she said.
“We can’t wait to welcome Robbie and give fans a chance to enjoy the incredible energy, charisma, and world-class entertainment that has made him one of the most successful performers of his generation.”

Robbie is playing around Australia in November, and tickets are still available for some of the dates:

Marvel Stadium, Melbourne on Wednesday, November 11
Accor Stadium, Sydney on Saturday, November 14
McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle on Tuesday November 17
Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Friday, November 20
