Dashcam footage has captured the insane moment a pedestrian is hit off his feet by a Sydney motorist and casually walks away unscathed.
The man was crossing an intersection in Castle Hill, Western Sydney, when what appeared to be a red Toyota Yaris looks to run through a red light. t.
The man is flung into the air before landing flat on his face. The car comes to a sudden stop.
Other pedestrians watched on as moments later the man composes himself and walks off.
The incident is said to have taken place at Old Northern Road on Sunday evening, August 23, according to Dash Cam Owners Australia.
The clip clearly shows there was a red light at the intersection and that pedestrians had a right of way to cross.
The footage sparked an instant reactions from viewers.
“The fact that the first guy kept walking before he knew if the guy was ok…says a lot about our society today,” one user wrote on Dash Cam Owners Australia’s Facebook page.
“Clearly not his first Rodeo. Lucky!” quipped a second.
“What in the gta gameplay [sic] guy gets smashed into a double side flip , npcs (non-player characters) around him walks off and then bloke gets up jogs it off and everyones back to normal,” a third wrote.
“Dude aint missing his dinner reservation…” joked a fourth.
Earlier this month, dashcam footage of a nasty T-bone smash in western Sydney has seen the driver who shared the video copping fierce backlash online, with some describing it as “the most avoidable accident since the Titanic”.
The clip, shared by Facebook page Dash Cam Owners Australia on Sunday, shows a white Toyota Corolla pulling out of a laneway to turn right onto Langtry Ave in Auburn on August 6, just after 3.20pm.
“I was driving and this lady just comes out of the laneway,” the submitter wrote.
As the Toyota attempts to cross, the SUV smashes directly into the driver’s side at around 50km/h, sending glass flying as the woman is violently jolted around.
Around three seconds pass between the Toyota’s nose pulling out onto the road and the crash, and the other driver does not appear to brake or slow down.
The video has drawn more than 2000 comments, with users overwhelmingly slamming the submitter.
“So you accelerate into her to prove a point?” one asked.
“‘I was driving and this lady just comes out of the laneway, so I accelerated and caused an accident instead of slowing down.’ There, I fixed it,” another said.“She may have been wrong but did you try and stop?” a third asked.
