A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was discovered with gunshot wounds on a residential Brisbane street.
Police had been called to Centre Street, Aspley, around 10.50pm on Tuesday following an alleged shooting.
Officers located a 24-year-old Aspley man with two gunshot wounds, police said.
The man was rushed to hospital in a serious condition.
Following inquiries, Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch detectives carried out a search warrant at a home on Richards Road, Narangba, around 2.32pm on Friday.
Detectives arrested a 33-year-old Narangba man at the property.
He has been charged with eight alleged offences, including attempted murder and possessing restricted items and obstruct police.
The man also faces charges of contravening order about information necessary to access information stored electronically and possessing dangerous drugs.
He is expected to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
Prior to the arrest, officers using speakerphones were heard negotiating with a man at the Narangba property, The Courier Mail reported.
Members of the public had been advised to avoid the area at the time.
