A popular beachfront restaurant in Bali has gone up in flames with the entire venue burning to the ground.
Devastating scenes unfolded on Sunday evening when a fire ripped through Chez Gado Gado restaurant in the tourist hotspot of Seminyak.
It’s believed a helium balloon exploded shortly before the blaze took hold but it is unconfirmed what started the fire.

Newly released images have since shown the aftermath of the fire with barely anything left of the venue.
Horror footage shows the venue, frequented by Aussies, engulfed in flames as people watch on in disbelief including a Perth woman who was left “absolutely terrified”.
“Sitting at Gado Gado waiting for our table when a helium balloon exploded and literally within seconds the whole place was on fire,” she claimed.
“We just ran. Managed to get out through a back door and honestly, a few seconds longer and I don’t even want to think about what could have happened.

“Still shaking writing this. The restaurant was packed and I’m just praying everyone managed to get out safely. Absolutely terrifying.”
Another tourist who is currently holidaying on the island said she was having dinner at a restaurant nearby when the horror unfolded.
“I just had dinner at Terry which is just a couple of doors down from Gado Gado where we had dinner a few nights ago and we almost went again tonight,” the US woman said on Instagram.
“Thank God we didn’t because it is in flames.”
She said she parked her motorbike right next door which is “probably gone”.
According to local reports there were no casualties however authorities are yet to confirm.
The beachfront restaurant located in the heart of Seminyak is described as an “exotic and ambient blend in a magical location with unsurpassed views of the orange sunsets across the Indian Ocean”.
It has been in operation for more than 30 years.
