Footage has emerged of the moment a chaotic brawl erupted outside a popular bar in Melbourne’s CBD.

Over a dozen people were seen throwing punches, pulling hair and kicking each other outside Bar Jayda and a Bond Street carpark over the weekend.

Video of the altercation showed two men trading blows on the footpath, before a third threw a punch that struck the side of one man’s head, causing him to collapse.

Two women in high heels and dresses were also seen getting in on the action, aggressively pulling each others hair as they blocked oncoming traffic.

One woman’s shoes went flying as a man attempted to separate the two women.

According to the Herald Sun, at least 12 people were seen punching and kicking each other during the incident.

12-person brawl rocks CBD

It is understood the brawl ended without police intervention.

“We encourage anyone who has been the victim of an assault to make contact with police,” a spokeswoman said.

The incident comes just days after another violent brawl rocked the city of Melbourne.

Children with families were confronted by the scenes in Melbourne’s inner east last week, after three individuals exchanged blows and kicks in the middle of a busy Richmond street.

Footage captured by News24, showed men trading punches before horrified onlookers attempted to intervene.

One man was pushed across the road by a passing woman, as the others remained on the opposite side.

A second video recorded a short time later shows a police officer standing over a man who is lying face down outside a petrol station, across the road from where the fight occurred.

Victoria Police said an individual had been hit by a car during the altercation, which occurred about 7:45pm on Saturday.

“It is believed there was a physical altercation between two men outside a service station on Swan Street about 7:45pm,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

“One of the men got inside a white Subaru and struck the other man before driving off.

“The 21-year-old Edithvale man sustained minor injuries.

“A third man, a 28-year-old from Cremorne, also tried to intervene during the incident and sustained minor injuries.”
