FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11
Team news: Fremantle is expected to make at least one change for Friday’s clash after running defender Brandon Walker suffered an ankle injury during the loss to Hawthorn last week in what was just his second appearance for the season. Judd McVee appears the most like-for-like replacement in the backline. Brennan Cox will find it hard to get up for the contest this week but could put his hand up if the Dockers progress to a preliminary final. For the Cats, James Worpel (hamstring) is edging closer to being available, while Max Holmes looked sore in his first game back from a foot fracture and syndesmosis injury. Regardless, it’s unlikely Chris Scott messes with a winning lineup, but after Sam De Koning and Jack Martin were omitted last week, there are several seasoned players that could be called upon.

Team news: Zac Taylor was the unlucky player to make way last week after suffering a hamstring injury in the last game of the season against the Giants. He, along with James Peatling (groin soreness) could both be available for selection if they get through training unscathed. Key defenders Jordon Butts and Nick Murray will also remain options for Matthew Nicks. Speaking of defenders, Brisbane’s Ty Gallop could be called upon if Chris Fagan elects to go taller given the height of the Adelaide forward line, but who would make way is the big question for the selection committee.
