An 11-year-old boy is the second child to die following a single-vehicle rollover west of Melbourne.
Emergency services responded to reports of a crash near the Nerowie and Parwan-Exford Road intersections just before 4pm on Tuesday.
A female driver and seven children were in the eight-seater 4WD, which rolled and stopped on grass between the road and a paddock.
Paramedics performed CPR on a seven-year-old girl, but she sadly died at the scene.
An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries.
Victoria Police confirmed he died in hospital overnight.
Five other children were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for observation.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances.

A Victoria Ambulance spokesperson confirmed a number of people were treated by paramedics.
“Two specialist Air Ambulance Victoria helicopter crews, two Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) paramedic crews and seven Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedic crews assessed eight people at the scene,” they said.
“Three male primary school-aged children were transported to The Royal Children’s Hospital.
“One was airlifted with upper and lower body injuries in a critical condition.
“Another was airlifted with upper and lower body injuries in a stable condition, and one was transported by road ambulance with upper body injuries in a stable condition.
“A teenage male and a primary school-aged male were transported by road ambulance to Western Sunshine Hospital. Both were in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
“A female toddler was transported to Western Sunshine Hospital by road ambulance with a minor upper body injury in a stable condition.
“A woman believed to be in her 30s was transported by road ambulance to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.”
