Three men are set to face court on Wednesday for their alleged roles in an astonishing knife brawl outside a Sydney kebab shop.
In the early hours of Monday, footage emerged of a violent altercation outside a takeaway in Canterbury in Sydney’s southwest.
Three men suffered stab wounds in the wild fracas, which took place on the corner of Fore St and Canterbury Rd between midnight and 1.20am.
Now, the three men allegedly involved in the vicious incident are set to face court.
The men, two aged 23 and one aged 18, were all treated in hospital following the altercation and now all face various charges.
One of the 23-year-olds has been charged with reckless wounding, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
The other has been charged with being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, reckless wounding and affray.
The teenager, who remains in hospital under police guard, faces six separate charges:
• Reckless wounding
• Being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence
• Assault occasioning actual bodily harm
• Affray
• Driving while suspended
• Not displaying L plates while driving as a learner.
Following the shocking scenes, Burwood police commander Superintendent Christine McDonald condemned the brawl as “completely unacceptable”.
“NSW Police will not stand for this type of violence in our community and on our streets,” she said.
The trio will appear in Burwood Local Court and have been refused bail.
