An eastern Sydney suburb has been rocked after three men allegedly tried to kidnap a man at gunpoint earlier this month. <\/p>\n
Police allege a 34-year-old man was threatened and assaulted by a group of three men on Salisbury Rd in Rose Bay on May 1 about 10.30pm.<\/p>\n
The group then allegedly pulled out two handguns and held the 34-year-old at gunpoint. <\/p>\n
The man managed to escape, and the three men allegedly fled the scene in a hatchback.<\/p>\n
The man sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment. <\/p>\n
Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident. <\/p>\n
On Wednesday May 13 about 6am, detectives searched a house on Jordan St in Fairfield West.<\/p>\n
There, they allegedly found and seized balaclava, cable ties, cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, bleach and clothing \u2013 all believed to be linked to the alleged kidnapping attempt. <\/p>\n
Two men, aged 26 and 28, were arrested at the scene. <\/p>\n
Police also searched a hotel room on the Great Western Highway in Colyton, where they arrested a 24-year-old man on an outstanding warrant. <\/p>\n
When police searched the hotel room, they allegedly found balaclava, cable ties, bleach and clothing, which they also believe was linked to the incident. <\/p>\n
The 26-year-old was subsequently charged with 12 offences, including robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, assault with intent to rob in company, take\/detain person in company with intent obtain advantage, stalk\/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal), two counts of take part supply prohibited drug greater indictable and less than commercial quantity and three counts of possess prohibited drug. <\/p>\n
The 34-year-old and 28-year-old men were charged with seven offences, including robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, assault with intent to rob in company, affray and stalk\/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal). <\/p>\n
\u201cThe older man was charged with the additional offence of take part supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial,\u201d a police statement read. <\/p>\n
All three men were refused bail and will all face court on Thursday. <\/p>\n
