GoFundMe launched on behalf of Anais<\/a>, a friend of the victim revealed she had been left traumatised and with a damaged tooth from the incident.<\/p>\n\u201cMy friend Ana\u00efs was a victim of a random attack while working as a waitress at La Vall\u00e9e in Essendon,\u201d the GoFundMe states.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs she was coming out to bring food to a table outside the restaurant, a person walking by threw the plates to her face, which cut her lip and broke her tooth and was left bleeding.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe random female attacker just kept walking and told her to get lost, and it was her fault for walking into her.\u201d<\/p>\n
The waitress\u2019s friend said Anais had been left \u201ctraumatised\u201d by the incident and was considering leaving the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cAna\u00efs has been struggling to find work on her working holiday, and only found this job recently, which is only a few shifts a week.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe is now left with a big dentist bill and some scars that she can\u2019t even afford. She might need surgery later on.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe is now left traumatised and wants to leave the country. Help her stay and enjoy Australia, so she can make a memorable time for her.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Melbourne community has since rallied around the young waitress, with the owner of a nearby Healthy Smiles dentist in Niddrie offering to fix her teeth for free.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is disgusting behaviour\u2026 I am more than happy to fix your staff member’s front tooth free of charge, as this is a cowardly act and your lovely waitress shouldn\u2019t have to go through this,\u201d the dentist said in a comment on Instagram.<\/p>\n
Other businesses have also shown their support, with Niddrie\u2019s Sear Steakhouse offering a meal for her family on the house, and a Martial Arts School in Fawkner offering a free 12-month membership.<\/p>\n
Melbourne billionaire Adrian Portelli also took to the comments to condemn the behaviour, with the Herald Sun reporting that the man commonly known as \u201cLambo guy\u201d is offering a $5,000 reward to help find the attacker.<\/p>\n
Victoria Police said the woman was wearing a black long-sleeve top, light blue jeans, sunglasses and a distinctive silver necklace with a charm.
