Rumours Australian pop star Delta Goodrem has snapped up a multimillion-dollar Brisbane mansion have added fresh fuel to the city\u2019s booming prestige property market.<\/p>\n
Speculation emerged this week that the singer had purchased an ultra-luxury home in Brisbane\u2019s inner east, with industry sources claiming her name had been linked to a high-end off-market property campaign in Coorparoo.<\/p>\n
RELATED: Celeb builder sells riverfront knockdown for record-breaking $25m<\/a><\/p>\n Inside Brisbane CEO\u2019s new Palm Springs inspired dream home<\/a><\/p>\n But the agent handling the sale said while Goodrem\u2019s name had been mentioned during the campaign, no deal involving the singer had been confirmed \u2014 although she is understood to be looking to buy a home in Sydney.<\/p>\n Selling agent Will Torres said there had been \u201cone point where an agent said, \u2018I\u2019ve got Delta as a potential buyer, can we look at it?\u2019 and I said, \u2018go for it\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n Mr Torres said he had not personally spoken with Goodrem or her management team.<\/p>\n The 800sq m block in Buena Vista Avenue \u2014 one of Coorparoo\u2019s most tightly held and prestigious streets \u2014 is believed to be seeking offers north of $10m.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re looking for $10m-plus to be honest,\u201d developer Mohammed Sabdia from Sabdia Constructions said.<\/p>\n Construction hasn\u2019t even started on the Arabian-inspired home, which Mr Sabdia said had originally been designed for his own family.<\/p>\n \u201cI designed it to be my family home,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Mr Torres said the campaign had attracted strong interest from local professionals as well as at least one international buyer from Dubai, highlighting growing offshore attention on Brisbane\u2019s prestige market.<\/p>\n Delta\u2019s husband, Matthew Copley, is understood to be interested in property and is always keeping an eye on markets like Brisbane.<\/p>\n MORE: Brisbane\u2019s \u2018super-rich\u2019 property market explodes with surge in $5m-plus homes<\/a><\/p>\n Mr Torres said pockets of Coorparoo and Camp Hill were continuing to surge as buyers chased lifestyle and long-term growth opportunities ahead of the 2032 Olympics.<\/p>\n He said nearby luxury project \u2018Solis\u2019 was also expected to set a new benchmark for Camp Hill, with $6m price hopes.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been setting precedence because of the lifestyle that comes with it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe access to and from the city, lots of parks in that pocket \u2026 there\u2019s real growth.\u201d<\/p>\n Mr Torres said Brisbane was increasingly being compared to Sydney during its major boom years.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can go to Melbourne and feel the energy of despair,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s very much Sydney vibes here now.\u201d<\/p>\n Originally published as The $10m Brisbane mansion that caught Delta Goodrem\u2019s eye<\/a><\/p>\n
