Sydney cafe Stoneground Bakery has issued an apology after it shared an \u201cinsensitive\u201d AI-generated post of convicted sex offender<\/a> Jeffrey Epstein visiting its shop in Hunters Hill.\n<\/p>\n

The post was shared on Stoneground Bakery\u2019s official Instagram account earlier this week, and featured multiple celebrities inside the cafe in an attempt to highlight how busy the business had been over the weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cPOV: It was a really busy weekend,\u201d the caption read, alongside fake renderings of supposed cafe patrons including Sydney Sweeney<\/a>, comedic character Borat, influencer Tammy Hembrow<\/a> and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.<\/p>\n

In its post, an AI version of Epstein was seated at one of Stoneground Bakery\u2019s tables and seen pouring sauce over one of its dishes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The post has since been removed from Stoneground Bakery\u2019s Instagram page.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reacting to news of the post, one person wrote, \u201cyou couldn\u2019t make this up, not funny,\u201d while another said \u201cwe all find [Epstein] abhorrent\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a statement provided to PEDESTRIAN.TV, Stoneground Bakery said the post, created by Sydney-based marketing agency \u00c9lever Media, was the result of a \u201cbreakdown in our processes\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe acknowledge that the Instagram post featuring an AI-generated image of Jeffery Epstein at the Stoneground Bakery was in bad taste and insensitive,\u201d the statement read.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of \u00c9lever Media and Stoneground Bakery we are deeply sorry for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cafe added that it \u201cvery quickly\u201d deleted the post after it was first shared.<\/p>\n

It comes as the US\u2019 House Oversight Committee continues to release files relating to Epstein<\/a> as part of its ongoing push for greater transparency about his crimes, nearly seven years after his death in prison.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, a federal judge released a possible suicide note<\/a> written by Epstein and discovered by his cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione.\u00a0<\/p>\n
