A man accused of breaking into an Adelaide Hills home and sexually assaulting a person unknown to him has been charged with multiple counts of rape, court documents show.<\/p>\n
Nabeel Qaisir, from Salisbury, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today with his head wrapped in bloodied bandages, and remained silent during the minute-long hearing.<\/p>\n
Police allege he broke into a property at Mount Pleasant, where they were called just before 3am on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The 27-year-old was arrested in the Adelaide Hills town about 10:30am the same morning, police said.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, Mr Qaisir has been charged with five counts of engaging in sexual intercourse with a person without consent, one count of indecent assault and an aggravated count of serial criminal trespass.<\/p>\n
The documents allege the offences occurred “between the 18th day of May 2026 and the 21st day of May 2026 at Mount Pleasant”.<\/p>\n
Police previously said they were searching for a white 2000 Mazda Bravo ute “believed to have been used by the suspect”.<\/p>\n
Today they said the vehicle was “not believed to be connected to the incident”, but it had been found in the north-eastern suburbs and seized for forensic testing.<\/p>\n
“It will be alleged that the arrested man and victim are not known to each other,” police said in a statement.<\/p>\n
