<\/p>\nMelbourne City FC can confirm four players will\u00a0depart\u00a0the Club following the conclusion of the 2025\/26 season, while Academy graduate Ben Mazzeo\u00a0is\u00a0locked\u00a0in\u00a0at\u00a0City for a further year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Daniel Arzani, Ryan\u00a0Teague\u00a0and Marcus Younis will all return to their parent clubs following the completion of their loan spells during the second half of the campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n
All three made valuable contributions during their time in Melbourne, with injuries unfortunately interrupting the latter stages of the season for both Arzani and Teague.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Arzani brought flair and attacking creativity during his second stint at City, making 12 appearances,\u00a0scoring\u00a0once\u00a0and providing two assists.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Teague featured 15 times in midfield and quickly became an important presence in the centre of the park before an\u00a0unfortunate\u00a0knee injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Younis made an immediate impact following his arrival at the Club, scoring in back-to-back\u00a0appearances\u00a0and quickly\u00a0establishing\u00a0himself as an exciting attacking threat.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 20-year-old also impressed on the continental stage, scoring and\u00a0assisting\u00a0in City\u2019s memorable away win over Ulsan HD\u00a0\u2013\u00a0a result that secured qualification to the AFC Champions League Elite knockout stages for the first time in Club history.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Championship winner Zane Schreiber will also\u00a0depart\u00a0the Club following the conclusion of his contract.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Schreiber spent three seasons in Melbourne, making 62 senior appearances and scoring twice across all competitions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A respected and dependable member of City\u2019s squad, the midfielder played\u00a0an important role\u00a0throughout the Club\u2019s 2024\/25 Championship-winning campaign and contributed consistently both domestically and in Asia during his time in Melbourne.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In positive news for City fans, exciting young winger Ben Mazzeo will remain at the Club for the 2026\/27 season after\u00a0reaching a trigger for\u00a0a one-year contract extension.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A product of City\u2019s Academy, Mazzeo made his professional debut in November 2023 and has since gone on to make 39 senior appearances, scoring five goals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Among those was a dramatic late equaliser against Buriram United in the ACL Elite earlier this year, further highlighting the 20-year-old\u2019s continued development in City colours.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Melbourne City FC Director of Football Michael Petrillo thanked the departing players for their contributions to the Club.\u00a0<\/p>\n
