Police have shot dead a man north of Brisbane, alleging he was armed with a gun and making threats.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Officers were called to a Narangba house on Cavill Way at about 12:30 this morning in relation to a domestic violence incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Queensland Police said the man approached officers and made threats towards them whilst armed with a firearm, and as a result was shot.<\/p>\n
The man was given first aid and officers commenced CPR, however the man died at the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A Queensland Police spokesperson said family members at the scene were treated for shock.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The matter is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.<\/p>\n
Investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n
This is the fifth police-involved shooting in the state so far this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On March 3, a 21-year-old man was shot dead during a welfare check in Tingalpa in Brisbane’s east.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n The next day, a man, allegedly armed with a firearm, was shot in Woombye on the Sunshine Coast<\/a> following a car crash on the motorway.\u00a0<\/p>\n On March 22, a 27-year-old man was shot at a shopping centre in Logan Central<\/a>, allegedly armed with a knife.\u00a0<\/p>\n
