Now, the Geelong-born, Melbourne-based artist is taking on a new major work \u2013 one so big you&#8217;ll be able to walk through it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The large-scale installation, titled\u00a0\u2018Home\u2019, will see the artist expand his immersive practice into a retail tenancy as a shopfront at Chadstone Shopping Centre is reconstructed into an Australian weatherboard home. Visitors can step inside the work, which stretches across multiple rooms, with each space fully fitted out with set design, lighting and sound elements. As you explore the nostalgic,\u00a0time-worn interiors in various states of decay, a contrast between the shopping centre&#8217;s slick and polished architecture invites a moment of reflection.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The installation marks Rone\u2019s first major Melbourne exhibition in three years\u00a0and is open to the public from June 11 to July 12 as part of Chadstone\u2019s inaugural Light to Night festival, which features a bold program of art, food and music.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights of the\u00a0event include a collab with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/melbourne\/news\/just-in-melbourne-food-and-wine-festival-reveals-a-show-stopping-program-for-2026-112425\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Melbourne Food and Wine Festival<\/a> to host the World\u2019s Longest Dinner; a culinary storytelling series hosted by familiar faces from Australia&#8217;s hospo scene; after-dark live music performances; wellness workshops with Kaya Health Club; a high-energy \u2018Hype Night\u2019 at Hijinx Hotel; and\u00a0\u2018Through the Looking Glass\u2019, another major art installation that uses\u00a0mind-bending glass and lightwork to bounce off Chadstone\u2019s gridshell roof<\/p>\n<p>Rone\u2019s Home will also get a school holiday program shake-up as younger generations are invited to explore the installation through various hands-on experiences. <br \/>The installation is\u00a0free to\u00a0visit (and takes about 20 minutes to walk through), but bookings are strongly encouraged.
