Eden Asset Management Pty Ltd is a specialist natural resources funds manager based in Perth, Western Australia, which ran the Eden Global Natural Resources UCITS ESG Fund, launched in December 2024.<\/p>\n
Its last-available factsheet for August 2025 showed the active equity fund had 11 per cent invested in West Coast Silver and 6.9 per cent in Lynas Rare Earths among its largest holdings.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fund aims to achieve long term growth by investing in equities in the Global Natural Resources sector, incorporating the metals and mining, energy and agriculture sub-sectors. The fund will focus on equities listed on recognised investment exchanges globally. Eden will manage the fund on an active basis, uncorrelated to the benchmark index, and include special situation investments in companies with smaller market capitalisations for which investments are transaction-driven.\u201d<\/p>\n
The corporate regulator said the AFSL was cancelled on the basis that Eden is in liquidation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe cancellation was made with the consent of Eden\u2019s liquidators following enquiries made by ASIC about non-compliance with statutory reporting, audit and financial requirements.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe liquidators advised ASIC that Eden was no longer trading therefore had no further need of its licence.\u201d<\/p>\n
ASIC may cancel an AFS licence held by a body corporate without the requirement for a hearing if it is a Chapter 5 body corporate which relevantly includes a body corporate that is being wound up or is under administration.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, ASIC cancelled the AFSL of ABL Funds Management Pty, based in regional New South Wales. The corporate regulator said the licence of the Forbes, NSW firm had been cancelled as ABL failed to meet statutory audit and financial reporting lodgement obligations for the financial years ending 30 June 2023, 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n
