A woman filmed attacking a young French waitress blamed the young victim for the shocking incident, the traumatised employee has revealed.<\/p>\n
Melbourne cafe worker Anais Poupon, 19, has undergone dental treatment after being assaulted by a passerby during a shift on Anzac Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n CCTV footage of the attack showed the teenager taking plates of food outside before the woman was seen hitting the items into the waitress and onto the ground.<\/p>\n The teenager, whose mouth was injured in the daylight attack, has since revealed the woman told her, \u201cIt\u2019s your fault,\u201d before walking away.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw my teeth broke and a lot of blood,\u201d Ms Poupon told Nine\u2019s A Current Affair.<\/p>\n The teenager was left \u201cvery upset\u201d by the assault and questioned why the woman targeted her.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd she told me, \u2018It’s your fault\u2019. I\u2019m like \u2018what? I do nothing\u2019,\u201d Ms Poupon said.<\/p>\n \u201cI just do my work. I\u2019m like, \u2018no sorry but it\u2019s not my fault\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n The waitress said her mother back in France was \u201cvery scared\u201d after learning of the assault on her daughter.<\/p>\n \u201cMy mum was very scared but she say, \u2018I can (do) nothing, I\u2019m in France\u2019. So she was very scared,\u201d Ms Poupon said.<\/p>\n The cafe worker, who has lived in Australia for just six months, has visited a dentist to be treated for her injuries.<\/p>\n Her employer told the program he was \u201cdisgusted\u201d when he saw Ms Poupon walk inside crying, bleeding and \u201ccovered in food.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe dentist in the area offered to do her teeth for free, which was amazing to hear,\u201d La Vallee cafe owner Josh said.<\/p>\n Ms Poupon, who was back at work on Wednesday, told The Herald Sun<\/a> that she had initially been scared she would lose her teeth.<\/p>\n \u201cNow I\u2019m not scared because I know it\u2019s not everyone, but at first I was just scared to lose my teeth,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n A Victoria Police spokesperson told SkyNews.com.au on Thursday that the investigation into the incident remains ongoing and that detectives are working to locate the woman involved.<\/p>\n
