The boy who died after a blaze tore through a home<\/a> in Melbourne\u2019s<\/a> southwest has been remembered as \u201ca bubble of energy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jordan Dashwood, 3, was in the living room with the family\u2019s two dogs when their home on Newbury Street in Werribee erupted in flames<\/a> just after midnight on Monday.<\/p>\n

Jordan\u2019s 11-year-old brother escaped by jumping from a window, while his father, Jeremy Dashwood, desperately tried to reach him.<\/p>\n

But Jordan could not be saved.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old father suffered serious burns and was taken to Alfred Hospital, where he remains in a coma.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews brought the blaze under control about 1.15am.<\/p>\n

Jordan\u2019s grandmother, Tracie Long, said the fire was too hot to get in, and that the family was devastated by the loss of the much-loved toddler.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just miss that little man already. He\u2019s so precious. He was so delightful. He was a bubble of energy. He was everything,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Members of the community have also taken to social media to pay tribute to the little boy and offer support to his family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the Dashwood family as they endure a loss no parent should ever have to face,\u201d Krystal Kolistasis wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart breaks for little Jordan\u2019s family, friends, and all those who loved him. The news is truly devastating, and it is impossible to imagine the depth of grief and heartbreak they must be experiencing during this incredibly difficult time.<\/p>\n

\u201cSending love, comfort, strength, and warm healing energy as you navigate this unimaginable tragedy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cause remains under investigation.<\/p>\n

Long said Jordan\u2019s mother heard a loud bang before the fire broke out, and investigators are examining whether an e-scooter may have played a role.<\/p>\n
