Organised by Atlas Events and sponsored by EVA Air, Queensland&#8217;s second oldest official marathon is AIMS accredited and IAAF certified, with all finishing times accepted for qualification for the Boston, New York and London Marathons. Brisbane in June is at its very best \u2014 beautiful winter sunshine with cool, comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for personal bests at every distance.<\/p>\n<p>The course showcases Brisbane&#8217;s most spectacular scenery on an out-and-back route. Starting at the City Botanic Gardens, runners travel through the CBD past the iconic Story Bridge, along the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, through the tree-lined streets of New Farm and Teneriffe and back. The marathon and half marathon routes are similar \u2014 the full marathon completes two laps of the half marathon course. A three-day Expo draws 10,000+ participants, families, friends and sporting enthusiasts.
