The heartbroken family of a little girl killed in a two-car crash in Perth\u2019s southeast have remembered their daughter as a \u201cbeautiful angel\u201d.<\/p>\n
Four-year-old Layna Leavy died in the smash at the intersection of Boardman Road and Garden Street in Canning Vale about 3.15pm on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Layna was a passenger in a Holden Astra hatchback that collided with a Ford Mustang at the intersection. <\/p>\n
Witnesses rushed to help her before she was taken by ambulance to Fiona Stanley Hospital, but she could not be saved.<\/p>\n
Her mother Saoirse released a statement on social media on Friday, saying she was \u201cthe happiest girl I ever knew\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur heart was shattered into a million pieces,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cFour years on this earth was never long enough. I hope you felt nothing but love in your life and loved every single adventure we went on.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope you continue to sing and dance in the sky and forever in our hearts.\u201d<\/p>\n
Layna\u2019s 32-year-old mother and eight-year-old brother were also in the Astra at the time of the crash and were taken to hospital. They have since been discharged.<\/p>\n
The driver of the Mustang, a 29-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n
A makeshift memorial has grown for Layna, with flowers and teddy bears placed at the crash site.<\/p>\n
WA Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.<\/p>\n
